ROOTS ORGANIC BREWING COMPANY TO RELEASE 2007 EPIC ALE
PORTLAND, Ore – The cult classic returns on December 21, 2007, when the Roots Organic Brewing Company officially releases this year’s Epic Ale. Just the thing to warm the belly on cold nights, the 2007 Epic Ale boasts a serious 14% ABV.
The Roots brewers hand-smoke the malt for this blend over cherry wood soaked in Glenlivet, cognac, and cherry juice, which adds a wonderful smoky toffee flavor and cherry notes to the pallet and nose, and a warm, bittersweet finish. 2005 marked the first batch of the heady brew, with 2006’s run available for sale in the pub and in collectible 2 liter magnums.
2007’s Epic Ale will be bottled with its new label in 200, more approachably-sized magnums, and will be available for sale only at the brewery and Belmont Station while supplies last. The release party will kick off at 6:00 pm at the Roots Brewery pub at 1520 SE 7th, and promises great music and tasty food. The first kegs on tap will be 2006’s Epic Ale, which has been aged for 15 months.

October 24, 2007 on 3:02 pm | In News And Events | Comments OffLook for Roots Organic Brewing products next time you’re in southern California. Craig and Jason kicked off the beer with a big party at the Liars club on Mission beach, Sept. 20th 2007 (liarsclub.com).
We served the oaked aged Tripple and our oaked aged “Mutha Pucker” Belgian Sour. The response was killer and we made a lot of new friends. Big thanks to Lewis and Chris and of course the lovely’s that worked that night, what a party. They all took such good care of us. Lewis and Chris, we’ll never be able to thank you guys enough for the headache we had the next day. Fucking Red breast rules! Remember this is one of the best places to find a great selection of Belgian beer, local, as well as regional microbreweries, on tap and in bottles.
But we can’t forget our new friends Blair, P.J.
Angel and Michael from Hamilton’s in south park, (east side San Diego) Blair is the owner of this other great Beer bar In San Diego. While at Hamilton’s, you can check out an even bigger bottle selection, mostly in the Belgian style. Jason and I would also like to let you cats know that we also appreciate the headaches the next day as well, Not! That was old school fellas!
We also did the San Diego Festival of Beers on Sept. 21st. We brought the Shark bite Imperial I.P.A. and people went nuts over it. We were out of beer in a couple of hours. Thanks to all our pourers, you were awesome!
Thanks for the good times, we’ll never forget the respect and love we felt from San Diego.

Leukemia is a malignancy of the blood- forming tissues–bone marrow, lymph nodes and spleen. When leukemia strikes, millions of abnormal and useless white cells accumulate in the tissues, preventing the production of normal cells. Leukemia and related cancers will strike over 106,000 Americans this year. Leukemia is the leading disease killer of children, yet affects 10 times as many adults.
Roots Organic Brewing Co. is a proud Corporate Sponsor of this team in training and is dedicated to help with the fight against cancer. We invite you to join our team in the fight!
